Hiking (it is that time of year….finally!!)

You must know that I love the rain as much as the next Fraser Valley-goer, but when you get into late April and May – for whatever reason – I expect the weather to be nice.  When I drive to school in the morning I don’t want to turn on the heat in my car nor on the way home.  I like opening the window and letting the sweet cold (the good kind!) air cool me off.  Sounds sweet, eh?  Well hopefully the weather will cooperate with my wishes.  But until it does, here are some pictures of my Outdoor Ed (Grade 7/8) latest hiking adventures.  We hiked Downes Bowl by the way.

Spring Break!!

March 8, 2012 by · Comments Off · Uncategorized

I hope you all are excited about the two week vacation we get!!  I am going to Palm Springs, California to relax in the sun with friends and family.  I can’t wait to sit by the pool and read books.  It is truly relaxing.  :)

At the same time I also want to read books about education and learn how to become a better teacher and Christian.  I hope that in the next two weeks you and your child will relax and also learn more about the plans God has for you.  Your children should have some work to do too.  Cornerstone’s speech meet is coming up (Friday, March 30th) and the selections need to be memorized when the students come back to school.

All the best and I, at least the more tanned version of me, will see you in two weeks. :) :)

Field Trips

January and February are awesome months.  It seems like every week I go off campus to some event whether it be skating, curling, gleaners, basketball games or rock climbing.  It is always fun to go to all these new places and see students learn new skills and have fun at the same time. :) Some pictures for your enjoyment.

A New Year!

Why hello!   Long time no see.

My Christmas break was most excellent.  Spent lots of time with family and friends hanging out.  It was long over due and it always nice to relax with loved ones.  Some highlights over the break were making cake pops (really hard for me at least), my brother got married (Dec. 17th) and Christmas Day (opening presents, traditional brunch, and being around family).  I hope you also enjoyed your Christmas break (although it was like two weeks ago now…).

Here is a very cool video on living every year/day/minute/moment for Christ and not just going through the motions.  It is very powerful and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
